Dear ASQ Worcester Members,

When I started with ASQ, the landscape was very different, and the profile of membership as those who worked to control quality.  Through the years, it is apparent that we, as quality people, cannot control quality.  We can track it, measure it, support it and design it in, but there are too many factors in success to truly control it.  I have realized that we are a people looking to improve what we can as creatively as we are allowed…working with a wider perspective than most to guide quality toward ‘best’.

This year has been full of new topics, new faces and new opportunities in quality.  With the addition of all the technology that allows us to meet remotely and in different ways, we can see some of what is coming down the pike for those ahead beyond the great programs already lined up for you.  As AI, Data Analytics and new transformation initiatives are installed in our businesses, we see too that our jobs will be changing again to meet the needs of the customers.  The customer has become more and more important over the years, and we are enjoying the enlightened management style that comes with all the new types of growing businesses.
